Unlike other master-planned communities, Gleannloch Farms has a pretty notable history. It used to be a home and a breeding farm for horses in Spring Texas. The beautiful stallions were imported from the Middle East. During this time, Gleannloch became a popular location for movies and the horses became stars of some shows. Celebrities have purchased Gleannloch horses and participated in Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo that showcased the beauty of Gleannloch Farms and its horses to the masses. Even US President Lyndon Johnson had a horse bred and raised from Gleannloch Farms.

Even after many years, Gleannloch remains as beautiful and serene. The now master-planned community still has the original stables, offices, and barns in use. A statue of one of the most famous Gleannloch Farms stallions, Morafic, stands just outside the main entrance of the community today.

If you have or are planning to own and raise a dog, Gleannloch Farms will be a perfect place for it to run around and play. Among its amenities is The Bark Park at Northpoint Drive has designated small dog and large dog areas where dogs can run around and enjoy dog-friendly drinking fountains while you also play at the Tennis Courts. 

The Fitness Center at the Champions Forest Drive is open all days of the week, so you can work out any day you are free with different equipment such as recumbent, upright, and hybrid bikes, ellipticals, treadmills, selectorized machines, and medicine and Swiss balls. 

For some days you feel like fishing, you can visit numerous lakes and ponds throughout the community. All of them are available for catch-and-release fishing with the fun company of ducks and turtles living in the ponds and lakes. After staying under the heat of the sun, you can take a refreshing dip at the recreational pool or even swim at the athletic pool. 

The Recreational Center at Gleannbury Pointe Drive has an eight-lane twenty-five-yard competition pool where you can witness and even have your children train for and join swimming competitions and be part of the Gleannloch Gators Swim Team. If not, there are the soccer and baseball fields, a basketball pavilion, and a sand volleyball court. These are great activities you and the kids can enjoy within this master-planned community.

Fully live the Texas farm life!

To fully live that Texas farm life, you can take thirty to sixty-minute riding lessons from Thursdays to Saturdays at the Equestrian Center at Champions Forest Drive. As Gleannloch Farms has been known for, its Equestrian Center is a full-board facility that can provide top-quality care for horses. This should be perfect if you are looking into owning a horse but worried about not being able to take care of it well. You can leave your horse at the place where they cared for best. 

Gleannloch Farms’ Equestrian Center has an eleven-stall courtyard barn with private runs, a nine-stall row barn with padlocks for turnout – all with mats in each stall, a turnout system, and an automatic fly system. Each barn has two private tack room areas and two separate wash rack areas. The center also has a full-size dressage court. 

The horses are fed with excellent quality hay with a custom grain mix and a daily wormer. Trace mineral blocks are also provided to ensure that all horses are as healthy as they can be.

Nurture a high-morale community!

More than clubs and organizations for pet owners and women, Gleannloch Farms has a Veteran’s Memorial. It is an Eagle Scout project which honors the men and women who have dedicated their years to serving and protecting the country.
