Living in Tomball, TX — What I LOVE and What I HATE

Tomball Texas has a lot to offer being in less than 30 miles northwest of Houston’s buzzing heart. Tomball’s more than 150 years of history parallels that of the Lone Star State in many aspects. The thick pine forest was initially colonized by German pioneers who developed farms and ranches. The opening of a large railroad terminal in the early 1900s was so significant to local residents that the town was renamed after the man who was responsible for routing the railroad through the town. The discovery of oil in 1933 ushered in a new era of economic growth that continues to this day.

With a population of 11,689 people, Tomball Texas is a Houston suburb. And is located in Harris County, now considered one of Texas’ greatest places to live. Tomball is home to many families and young professionals, and people tend to hold moderate political views. Tomball’s public schools are also well regarded.
